For the third year, the Historical Society presented a spooky, fun, informative event for your enjoyment October 24 and 26. Histor-ween entertained guests with a Spook House in the old FISD home economics cottage, an entertaining reenactment on the Perry Museum front porch, and a guided tour through the Cemetery where several cemetery residents came alive to tell their story. Friendswood’s Citizen of the Year

We’re proud to report that our Board member, Joycina Baker, was honored as Friendswood’s “Citizen of the Year” at the Chamber of Commerce’s 49th annual Chairman’s Gala held on January 19th. Joyce’s son, Mark, received the award in her behalf from the Chamber’s President, Steve Anderson.

The first Histor-Ween–in 2011 was fun! The Histor-Ween this year– was even more fun!
